 True to size and simply awesome Jan 06, 2009
My daugther received these as a gift. She wears a size 5.5 normally, but sometimes can wear a size 6. I went with the size 5.5 and they fit perfectly. She loves them. They are stylish and elegant and fun. They are pricey and one of the few items I was willing to purchase at such a high price.

This shoe is definitely the best reproduction of the Dior gladiator sandal that Carrie wore in SATC that I've seen, but I'm a little disappointed in the quality of the shoe. Steve Madden does a fantastic job of creating affordable, wearable, up to the minute shoes of good quality but I feel this shoe missed the mark.
My major gripe? The sole and the heel of the shoe. The heel is a hard plastic with a manmade (non-leather) sole.
I wore the shoe around the living room of my home for 1 hour, just to break them in and the sole is so scratched it looks like I wore them outside. Also, there are no "grips" on the sole of the shoe which makes that pretty bronzed bottom, very slick...
The heel also "gives" a little when walking, an odd sensation if you're used to a sturdier heel.
All in all, it's an attractive, "Dior-alike" shoe, but it does not measure it up Steve Maddens' normally high standards. I'm just glad that I got them on clearance.

Several brands have launched their own imitation of the Dior shoe worn by Carrie in the SATC movie. However, these are the best ones I have seen, by far. I ordered the dark brown. The first two times I wore them with jeans, in order because the leather was a bit stiff, and my heel peeked out just the slightest teeny bit. However, by the third wear they were ready for skirts, which is really what they SHOULD be worn with because they are simply GORGEOUS....They are comfortable, and majorly inspire strutting....great buy!!!

I LOVE THESE SHOES. THESE ARE ALMOST IDENTICAL TO THE PAIR THAT CARRIE WORE IN THE SEX AND THE CITY MOVIE. BUT THOSE WERE DIOR'S, AND WAS PROBABLY $500-$1000. THESE ARE JUST A FRACTION OF THE COST AND ITS SO WORTH IT, VERY COMFORTABLE TOO.
