I was looking for boots that would look like the pair Lena Headey wears in Terminator:The Sarah Connor Chronicles. I found these Steve Maddens and they're very similar. I bought a pair in brown leather. Amazon sells them cheaper than Zappos.com and Steve Madden.com. Plus there's free shipping with the the super saver shipping option. The boots are comfortable. It runs about 1/2 size smaller and the heal is a little bit roomy. But overall these boots are great. They look great with the pants tucked in or with skirts.

 Disappointing in taupe suede Dec 09, 2008
Steve Madden Women's Buck Calf Length Buckle Boot, Taupe Suede. I bought the 8.5 based on a prior review saying they run big. It did not run big at all. The shaft is in two pieces, like a giant tongue that fits over the back part and it is all held together by buckles & straps. I had to unbuckle it at top and ankle to get it on. Not a slip on by any means. The suede leather felt thin and cheap. I liked the color and that it was lined. It was attractive on but besides being too small, it was much less than the picture conveyed. I am having so much trouble this year finding a reasonably priced boot I was ecstatic when I found this one but, boo hoo.

Boots are very durable and quite comfortable. Does not scratch your legs or ankles like most boots do. They do run bigger in my opinion so buying a half size smaller would be better.
